Terms of Service
Last updated: [DATE]
1. Agreement to these terms
These terms are between you and Daramac Ltd ("TradeZebra", "we", "us"), company number 13764005, registered office 97 Mudeford, Christchurch, England, BH23 4AE. By creating an account or using TradeZebra, you agree to them. You must be at least 18 and using TradeZebra for your trade or business. These terms apply to users in the United Kingdom.
TradeZebra is a business-to-business service. If you are a sole trader using it for your business, you are contracting as a business, and consumer-only protections do not apply to your use of the app itself.
2. What TradeZebra is
TradeZebra is software that helps electricians run jobs, quote and invoice, take payment, and produce electrical certificates (EIC, EICR, Minor Works). It is a tool. It is not an electrician, a certification scheme, or a certifying body, and it does not carry out, check, approve or countersign electrical work or certificates. All inspection, testing, professional judgement and sign-off remain yours.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Holding the qualifications, competence, scheme registration (for example NICEIC, NAPIT, ELECSA or SELECT), insurance and permissions required for the work you carry out and the certificates you issue.
- The accuracy, completeness and legality of everything you record and issue through TradeZebra.
- Keeping your account credentials secure and the actions of staff you invite.
- Handling your own clients' personal data lawfully — you are the controller of that data (see the Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum).
We may require valid scheme registration before enabling certificate issuing.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

£39.99per month, covering up to 5 seats, with certificates included.[CONFIRM final price, seat terms, VAT treatment, and any charge for a 6th+ seat.]Prices are[exclusive/inclusive]of VAT. - Free trial. We offer a free trial with no card required.

- Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.

[CONFIRM whether the current period runs to its end and whether any refund applies]. - Changes to price. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal.
5. Payments you take from your clients
TradeZebra lets you invoice and take payment from your clients (including card and tap-to-pay via Stripe and Stripe Terminal). Those payments are between you and your client and settle through your own Stripe account, subject to Stripe's terms. We are not a party to the contract between you and your client, and we do not hold your client funds.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: provide false information; use TradeZebra unlawfully; issue certificates you are not qualified or registered to issue; upload content you have no right to; attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; or use it to harm others.
7. AI features — draft assistance, your professional responsibility
This section is important. TradeZebra uses AI to help you produce certificates — for example extracting circuit data from a photograph of a board and suggesting wording and classification codes for observations. You agree that:
- AI output is a draft and a suggestion only. It is not professional advice, not a substitute for your inspection, testing and judgement, and not guaranteed to be accurate or complete.
- Nothing AI-generated is applied to a finished certificate without your explicit review and confirmation. You must check every value, observation and code against your own testing and against BS 7671 before you sign.
- You remain solely and professionally responsible for every certificate you issue, exactly as if you had produced it by hand. Your signature is your confirmation that you have reviewed it and that it is correct.
- To the extent permitted by law, we give no warranty as to the accuracy of AI output, and we are not liable for a certificate you issue.
[Solicitor: please review §7 and §8 together against professional-indemnity and liability considerations for AI assistance on a legally significant safety document.]
8. Service provided "as is"; limitation of liability
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) and do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and except as stated below:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity.
- We are not liable for the electrical work you carry out or the certificates you issue.
- Our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms in
any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in
that period or
£[CAP].[CONFIRM cap.]
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the service, the work you carry out, or the certificates you issue.
10. Your data and your content
You keep ownership of the data and content you put into TradeZebra. You grant us the licence needed to host and process it to provide the service (including AI features), as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data, and we will make it available on reasonable terms if you leave.
11. Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or where we must for legal or security reasons; we will give notice where it is reasonable to do so. On termination, the data-handling in the Privacy Policy and DPA applies.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continuing to use TradeZebra after a change takes effect means you accept the change.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continue in force.
